Everything I know about courage I learned from an old man who slept with a nightlight because of things he saw and did on the other side of the world when he was younger than I am now. He spent the rest of his life fighting for peace. I'm glad he finally found it.

For the responders and survivors and those suffering and dying from 9/11-related illnesses, #NeverForget is every day.
On a long solo trip, you end up replaying every movie and TV show you’ve ever seen in your head. Watching this sunset up in Donegal, eating canned stew, and trading a little sleep for a few more minutes with the gorgeous view before retiring to my tent for a 4AM start the next morning, I thought of that line from ALMOST FAMOUS.
“I need to go home.”
“You are home.”
